10 Things We Waste

1.Our knowledge; by not taking action with it.

2.Our actions; by committing them without sincerity.

3.Our wealth; by using it on things that will not bring us reward from Allah; by wasting our money, status, and authority on things that have no benefit in this life or in the life hereafter.

4.Our hearts; by lacking (1) the love of Allah, (2) the feeling of longing to go to Him, and (3) the feeling of peace and contentment. Unfortunately, instead our hearts are filled with something or someone else.

5.Our bodies; by not using them to worship Allah, nor using them to further our service in His cause.

6.Our love; by directing it towards someone/something other than Allah.

7.Our time; by wasting it; by not using it properly to compensate for that which has passed; by not doing righteous deeds to make up for past ones.

8.Our intellect; by wasting it on things that aren’t beneficial to us—things that are detrimental to the individual as well as the society at-large; by not being in constant contemplation and/or reflection of Allah and His deen.

9.Our service; by wasting it in the service of someone or something that will not bring us closer to Allah, nor benefit us in this worldly life.

10.Our remembrance (of Allah); wasted because it doesn’t affect us or our hearts.
