Is it O.K to refer Qur'an as "Holy Qur'an"?
Holy in the arabic language is (transiteration) ‘Muqaddas’ , and Allaah Subhanahu wa-ta’ala has never refered to the Qur’an as being, Quran-il-Muqaddas, nor will you find in the reliable books of Sunnah Qurana-il-Muqaddas (The Holy Quran).
Allaah called the Qur’an, Qur’an-il Kareem (Noble Qur’an), Qur’an-il Hakeem (The Wise Quran), Qur’an-il Majid (The Glorious Quran) etc.
So insha’Allaah lets refer the Qur’an according to the names Allaah had given it. And Allaah Subhanahu wa-ta’la knows best.
